  • 4 (6½-inch) whole wheat pitas
  • ¾ cup all-natural spaghetti sauce, no salt added
  • 2 fresh basil leaves, chopped
  • 2 oz. shredded mozzarella cheese (½ cup)
  • ¼ medium onion, sliced
  • 1 medium yellow bell pepper, sliced into rings


  1. Preheat oven to 350° F.
  2. Top pitas evenly with spaghetti sauce, basil, cheese, onion, and bell pepper.
  3. Place pitas on baking sheet. Bake for 10 to 12 minutes, or until cheese is melted.
