22 Minute Hard Corps Results: Kelly Lost 15 Pounds in 9 Weeks

Tell us about your life before you started the program. How did you feel about yourself and your body?
Before Team Beachbody, 22 Minute Hard Corps, P90X, Body Beast, and PiYo, I was at my lowest point in my life and not happy with the way I looked and felt. I was desperate for a solution. After separating from the US Marine Corps in 2006, I joined a gym in order to get back to my fighting weight. I soon found out that without a personal trainer to show me how to work out properly, I wouldn’t even be able to maintain, let alone improve, my fitness. Jumping from job to job, my workouts took a back burner to life. I then took a job on the railroad, where I sat a majority of the time. I began packing on the pounds. At 6’3″ and nearly 220 lbs., I wouldn’t say I was overly fat, but I was certainly unfit and heading in the wrong direction health-wise.

What inspired you to change your life and begin your transformation journey?
Just before going back to school in 2009 with my fitness level and confidence at an all-time low, I became desperate for change. I knew I’d be the old man on campus (at 29). But I didn’t want to look the part, so I made my first investment in myself with P90X… The rest is history!

What is the greatest challenge you faced before beginning the program? How did the program and Beachbody help you overcome that challenge?
Before beginning 22 Minute Hard Corps, I had completed several rounds of P90X and Body Beast and had made some great gains, but had lost some flexibility and mobility. 22 Minute Hard Corps was just what the doctor ordered. I mean I seriously needed this. Now what’s next? Another round of 22 Minute Hard Corps!

What in particular did you like about the program you chose?
I needed a change and so the military-style workouts were on my radar!

Describe the results you achieved with your Beachbody program. Which achievements are you proud of?
At 35 years of age, I’m in the best shape of my life! I still don’t have the perfect abs, but this journey isn’t over; it’s actually just beginning. Ten years from now at 45, I want to be able to say the same thing: “I’m in the best shape of my life!” I’m most proud that I get to lead by example and be that positive influence of health and fitness for my friends and family.

How has your life changed since completing your Beachbody program?
I’m gaining more and more confidence with each Beachbody program I do. These programs add another layer of knowledge and technique to my arsenal of fitness.
