10-Minute Trainer Results: Phillip Lost 10 Pounds and 4 Inches Off His Waist

Tell us about your life before you started the program. How did you feel about yourself and your body?
Before I started the 10-Minute Trainer program, I had been trying to lose weight since 2011. I didn’t feel as big as what my pictures were showing me. Since 1999, my job has had me sitting on my rear for most of the day staring at a computer screen. The last couple of years, I would get winded just walking from the parking lot, up a flight of stairs, and to my desk. I was definitely out of shape.

What inspired you to change your life and begin your transformation journey?
My transformation journey began in 2011, when I was diagnosed with a fatty liver, obesity, high blood pressure, and sleep apnea.3 Liver disease runs in my family, but the doctor explained to me that it can be controlled through a proper diet and exercise. We began to purge our pantry of the foods that were not good for us, and I started a walking regimen.

What is the greatest challenge you faced before beginning the program? How did the program and Beachbody help you overcome that challenge?
The biggest challenge I faced when beginning any program was finding time to do it, and then maintaining the desire to keep doing it. Walking was all right at first, but as time went on, I had to walk longer to get any kind of results. Since graduating high school, I refuse to do any running.

What in particular did you like about the program you chose?
What I like the most about the 10-Minute Trainer is I can get a quality workout in 10 minutes. During the first month, the exercises were quite tough, and I only did one session a day. Once my body became accustomed to the one 10-minute workout, I was able to add a second 10-minute workout. If, for some reason, I didn’t have time to do my exercises in the morning, I could do them when I got home from work. It’s only 10 minutes. No more excuses!

Describe the results you achieved with your Beachbody program. Which achievements are you proud of?
After completing the 10-Minute Trainer program, I lost 10 lbs. and four inches off my waist and hips. The achievement that I am most proud of is losing the four inches from my waist. All of my current clothes just fall off without unbuttoning them, and I’ve had to buy a new belt twice already.

How has your life changed since completing your Beachbody program?
Since completing my 10-Minute Trainer program, I enjoy getting up in the morning to begin my exercises. During the first month, I did one 10-minute exercise a day. During the second month, I did one in the morning and one in the evening with my wife. During the third month, I was motivated enough to get up a little earlier and do two exercises in the morning.

How did your Team Beachbody Coach support you on your journey?
My Coach was instrumental in getting me started and working with me to keep going. Any questions I had she would find the answers, if she didn’t already have it.

How did a Beachbody supplement, nutritional product, or program (such as Shakeology or Beachbody Ultimate Reset) support your transformation? What are the greatest benefits you gained? Did you see benefits to your energy, sleep, mood/mental clarity, or digestion/regularity?
During the first month on the 10-Minute Trainer, I did not take any supplements. I saw some good results, but I had stopped losing weight after the first month. Once I started taking Shakeology at the beginning of the second month and started stacking my workouts, I began to lose weight again. I guess you can say that I’m a very regular guy these days. My energy level has been phenomenal.2 I can work out in the morning, work all day, and play a round of golf or bowl until 9 PM without any problems. I actually walked 18 holes and didn’t feel tired until the last hole. When I walked 18 holes last year, I was getting leg cramps on the 10th hole and barely survived.
